Question:
what can you do about panic attacks ?
Answer:
Ride them out. Pass through them. Don't give the fear a leg to stand on.
Just say to yourself: "Oh, another one of those panic attacks. It'll be
over in a few seconds". It will pass when you relax enough to pass
through it without letting it impress you.
Thumb your nose at it.
And get REST. Don't push yourself. That way the panic won't even bother
to return.
Very often it is a symptom that comes along to tell you you're doing too
much, or worrying too much or whatever...
1. I take Luvox, so my doctor changed it to Paxil, at a heaview dose. He
said that should work.
2. I insisted on regular excercise, mostly walking. That helped, too.
I don't think it's your server. I think the only thing she wanted to ask was
what can you do about panic attacks? Interesting that she got two answers: one
about medication, one about handling it without medication.
We aren't usually aware of it, but the heart is a very strong muscle and
can take a lot. If you can manage to tell yourself that during a panic
attack and to relax even the tiniest bit about it, if you can accept that
this is happening now but will be over in a little while, then your panic
attacks will get shorter and shorter in duration until one day they won't
impress you at all.
I have suffered from panic attacks since I was 19, I am now 28. Last
year I was given a prescription of Paxil and my life really changed for
the better. It has been a year though of not taking it and I am now back
to the same attacks. I will be going back on Paxil and really recommend
it to anyone who suffers like I do.
