Have any of you ever ingested so much marijuana smoke that you've nose-dived right into a full-blown panic attack?

Question:
I'd like to ask this of everybody. Have any of you ever ingested so much marijuana smoke that you've nose-dived right into a full-blown panic attack? I'll relate my experience: I was at my dealer's apartment, smoking some of her more potent weed out of a fairly large bong when suddenly, while sitting on a bean-bag chair, the most terrifing feeling of death fell upon me. I immediately stood up and walked around the room to calm myself down, breathing rapidly and heavily. After a couple of seconds, it jsut got worse; soon I began to experience this horrifying sensation of smothering, enclosing, as if my very conscience were being crumpled up like a piece of scratch paper. I found myself running around my friend's kitchen, actually fighting against what seemed to be the complete shutdown of my mind. I was now practically weeping desperately at my friends to call a doctor, raving about my impending death. After a few minutes things slowly began to settle down. It happened again at a party a few weeks later, after I had taken a large gravity bong hit. I would much like to hear any other first-person accounts of something similar.

Answer:
All of them quit smoking because of it. They took up alcohol. Now they are all nothing but worthless drunks. Can't even stand to visit them anymore. It's tragic. Don't let a panic attack throw you into the deadly arms of lady booze. You'll get over it. I have had a few. They pass. Listen to the other dude. He's right.

i had a "bad trip" on boomers once, and hence this feeling "tries" to sneak back up on me when i smoke vast amounts of hash. switching from hash to weed was the solution for me. i know what you're talking about, and yes it is a very uncomfortable experience. it might ruin the whole point of getting high, hu?? bearing in mind tho that there has not been a reporting of a "fatal dose" of THC, you have two options to handle your problem: 1. deal with it / get used to it 2. quit smoking pot

or you might try consuming a lesser dosage, as it has helped me i.e. i stay away from bongs/gravity bongs and hash - and merely smoke small to medium sized weed joints. tho in netherland, where i'm from, the weed is actually very potent...

also educating yourself and learning more about the facts and backgrounds of psychedelic drugs /might/ help to approach your described situation in a more rational manner, when it occurs.

Not me but my SO. We hadn't smoked for a while and got a bag of strong bud. After a couple of hits she started thinking she was having a heart attack. After a few minutes she was fine (and smoking again). It happens to lots of people, try smoking a bit less. ;)

The thing is, where do you thoughts come from!...and if they are sound thoughts, and why not make them more and more real so that one's thought actually creates the reality that one experiences...like a conscious dream. The fact is that high strength pot is very strong!... and will trip you into amazing realities (for real not just a head trip)...and maybe when we are either not ready for or blocked from in some way these way out realities we experience panic attacks instead....sort of like this drug is some sort of instant real time space time shapeshift magic...and that we are playing with it for recreational buzzez..,.and then occassionally the animal roars...so be aware of this and be safe. Cannabis is always used religiously and ritually for magic in effect traditionally...and of course there is a reason for this. This pure effect of cannabis would be much more workable if cannabis was legal because there would be no fear in the thought of being arrested, trapped in ther rirtual child abuse fascist trap (babylon freemason christian trap) etc etc etc etc. So the end result at its most extreme is that we have scitzaphrenics here in the west instead of holy people as in the East.
